Water Hydrant Flushing Schedules - Fall 2021

Georgetown Municipal Water & Sewer Service (GMWSS) will begin flushing fire hydrants in the Georgetown/Scott County service area on Monday, October 25, 2021.
 
Flushing hours will be from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with the schedule locations shown on the maps linked in the dates below.

City of Georgetown Flushing Schedule

10/25 - 11/10, Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm

Scott County Flushing Schedule

11/12 - 11/22, Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm

Stamping Ground Flushing Schedule

11/17 - 11/23, Monday - Friday 8 - 4:30pm

 All customers are advised to avoid washing clothes during this time, as there could be some discoloration of water. This will clear up in a few hours once the hydrants have been flushed. This is a procedure that must be completed semi-annually.
