Rate Change Info

ATTENTION! Republic Services Solid Waste/Recycling Customers: New solid waste/recycling rates go into effect on February 1, 2025, and will appear on the bill received in March. Please visit GMWSS.com/garbage for more information. Most customers will see an increase that is less than one dollar. As a reminder, please call Republic Services at 502-209-3800 for specific solid waste/recycling service questions. GMWSS only handles the billing for solid waste/recycling and cannot provide information or assistance related to services provided.

Water and Sanitary Sewer usage rates with billing cycles beginning on or after March 1, 2025, reflect new rates approved by the GMWSS Board of Commissioners and City Council. The new rates will appear on the bill received in April. Please visit GMWSS.com/rates for more information.

Declaration of Domicile
Residential Exemption for Utility Purchases

To Customers With Multiple Residential Accounts:

Per the Kentucky Department of Revenue, Starting January 1, 2023, customers with multiple residential accounts now will be required to pay the six percent (6%) state sales tax on utility services provided to any property that is not the primary residence of the owner or occupant.
